Forward Frame Media does not just fight for causes on behalf of our clients, but also through independent documentary projects of our own. The goal of our documentary arm is to shed light on important issues, carry out investigations, and highlight interesting stories for the benefit of the public.
Our first film, “I Approve this Message” bridges the gap between the public that is subjected to political ads and the ad makers themselves. The documentary examines the logic behind political ads, the persuasive techniques used and how ad makers break through the public’s resistance towards watching and learning from the ads. “I Approve this Message” was an Official Selection at the Skyline Drive Indie Film Fest, the Chagrin Documentary Film Festival, and the Indie Gathering International Film Festival in 2016 as well as the Alexandria Film Festival in 2015.
In President Reagan’s farewell address he invoked the pilgrim John Winthrop and described America as a “shining city on a hill.” Indeed we are a shining city on a hill, but not for everyone. For some, America is a tale of two cities that grow further apart with each passing decade as the disparities between the rich and the poor continue to grow. “Our Shining City” explores the issue of income inequality. What it is, why it is a problem, what causes it and how it affects us and our society.
